Stardate: 56791.74

Starfleet has directed us to the Minerva space station in the Lortano System. The scientists aboard Minerva are studying the systems nebula, which is riddled with tachyon particle anomalies.We’ve been informed by the Starfleet liaison, Lieutenant Irvin Durossette, that the station’s research has been hampered by sabotage of a nature which indicates that it was station personnel. We have been dispatched to investigate the matter, restore the station to full capacity, and discover who exactly has betrayed Lt. Durossette and his staff.

An away team boarded the station to investigate and interview the scientists.
It was discovered that some form of alien creature was responsible for the sabotage. The away team attempted to communicate with the lifeform but was unsuccessfull in determining anythign abotu teh ceature or its motives. The creature made it very clear that they wanted to be left alone.

After initally repairing a hull breach the alien entities somehow shut down all llife support systems aboard the station. The away team successfully evacuated the crew of the station before atmosphere was vented.
The decision was made to scuttle the station and place quarantine markers in this system. We have advised Starfleet to designate this area as a Red Zone.
Further careful study of these lifeforms is needed, but we have been asked to return to base.
